According to reports in Croatia, striker Mario Gavranovic is ‘considering’ a move to St Andrews and has taken ‘time out’ from his club duties at Dinemo Zagreb to contemplate the move.

Having fallen down the pecking order, the 30-year-old has made 25 appearances for the Croatian side and scored six goals and assisted twice.

24Sata explain, ‘everything will be clear in two days’ once the forward comes back from his ‘time out’.

This isn’t the first time Blues have enquired about the Swiss International – they narrowly missed out on his signature last summer.

One major hurdle though would be the fact Gavranovic would only be looking for a permanent deal, rather than a loan.

With only eight goals in 28 championship appearances for Lukas Jutkiewicz and Alvaro Gimenez far from impressing the St Andrews faithful, more options are needed up top for Pep Clotet.

This news comes after Blues are eyeing up a move for former Millwall striker Lee Gregory, reported today, news which Blues fans weren’t quite blown away by.
