Following Connal Trueman and Lee Camp’s recent departures, the hunt for a new Blues number one is expected to go up a gear this week

Understudy to Lee Camp for the majority of the season, Trueman did feature 10 during the mid point of the campaign but has now been allowed to join AFC Wimbledon on a season long loan

His departure follows confirmation that Lee Camp had failed to agree terms on a new deal and has also called time on his two year stint with the club.

With rookie Moha Ramos also out the door, Blues have only youngster Zack Jeacock on the books and will now focus on bringing in two keepers to compete for the number one slot.

BBC WM’s Richard Woolford played down suggestions that Joe Hart was in talks, adding that a list of other options was being worked through and that Karanka would decide his preferred targets.

Blues were also linked to QPR’s Seny Dieng last season although Birmingham Live have reported that he was set for a new contract at Loftus Road after impressing on loan at Doncaster.
