Promising left back Steve Seddon has left the club to join AFC Wimbledon on loan for the rest of the season.
Predominately looked at as backup to Kristian Pedersen, Blues fans were expecting Seddon to be in Karanka’s plans this term.
This will be the second spell at the League One outfit for the 22-year-old and will join fellow Blues player Connal Trueman, who also completed a loan move to The Dons.
Seddon enjoyed a successful stint on loan at Portsmouth last season and by helping them reach the playoffs, many Blues fans will be left wondering what he has to do to get in the starting lineup at St Andrew’s.
The next question that will be asked is do we have enough cover for left-back, as George Friend can also operate in that position, and does Karanka have a replacement in mind?
