Newly Relegated side Bournemouth are apparently considering a move for experienced Blues midfielder Gary Gardner, according to Sky Sports journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Bournemouth, now managed by Jason Tindall, are yet to lose this season with two wins and one draw.

With the fee rumoured to be £1million, this is a signing that you could definitely imagine as Gardner has likely fallen quite far down the Central midfield pecking order with the summer arrivals. Ivan Sunjic, Adam Clayton and Mikel San Jose are all expected to be above Gardner meaning his game time will be limited.

There are also plenty of players competing with Gardner for his spot on the bench including Davis, Kieftenbeld and Josh McEachran (when fit).

The Cherries aren’t known for having a big budget and it’s difficult to see a huge fee coming in for the local player.

For Gardner, it’s a question of fighting for his place at his boyhood club or making a move to the South Coast.
