Josh McEachran has today left Birmingham City after a mutual termination of his contract.

The 27-year-old leaves the club after making 10 first team appearances since his arrival back in September 2019.

His time at the club was hampered by injuries, and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, club and player have decided to part ways at this time.

It would be an understatement to say Blues didn’t see the best that the Englishman had to offer, and he will be hoping to push for a move elsewhere where he can rediscover the form that brought him great plaudits from his time at Brentford.

The player follows fellow midfielders David Davis and Maikel Kieftenbeld out of the door this month, with Dan Crowley also leaving on a temporary basis as Karanka looks to mould a more desired middle of the park for the second half of the season.

The club have added Rekeem Harper to their ranks as Blues look for a major resurgence up the table with the club currently languishing in 20th place.
