Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Matija Sarkic is training at Wast Hills ahead of a possible loan move.
The Athletic reporter Tim Spiers has also claimed Blues are looking to pull off a loan move for defender Sanderson as Bowyer looks to bolster his defensive lines:
Twitter: Wolves keeper Matija Sarkic is training with Birmingham City with a view to moving there on loan.
Understand that… https://t.co/jJO6qorAg2 (@TimSpiers)
Sarkic made 26 appearances for Shrewsbury Town last season.
The 23-year-old came through the academy of Anderlecht before signing with Villa back in 2015.
Representing Montenegro at youth level, Sarkic made his debut for the senior team in November 2019.
This news will pose questions as to who will be Bowyer’s number 2 goalkeeper next season with Connal Trueman and Andres Prieto still on the books.
We could very well be expecting departures in this department with Zach Jeacock more than likely heading out on loan for valuable experience following his contract extension.
