Birmingham City have announced tonight that midfielder Charlie Lakin has departed the club on a permanent transfer.
The 22-year-old has signed for Burton Albion:

Although impressing at both Stevenage and Ross County on loan, Lakin has found it hard to break into the first team over the years.
Since 2017 he’s only managed 10 appearances in Royal Blue after joining in 2017.
While Lakin has been overlooked by many managers at Blues, the youngster has stayed professional and took his chance when called upon.
Unfortunately, when you’re on the fringe of the first team for so long, you need to think about furthering your career, and I have no doubt both parties have sat down and discussed just that. A great move for Lakin and hopefully we see him back at St Andrews one day!
