Birmingham City Women have sacked manager Scott Booth after only four months in charge, according to The Telegraph.
Booth was very popular with all of the team as this news comes as a shock to many players.
After winning six league titles with Glasgow City, Booth was looked at as a very shrewd appointment.
However, after only picking up one point in the opening seven WSL League games, the club have pressed the eject button.
This comes after an open letter was sent to the club at the end of last season from the players for the lack of funding.
With them operating with by far the lowest budgets in the league, it’s going to be a huge challenge for anyone who comes in to replace Booth.
This news follows another key-figure head in Carla Ward, who was also removed from her post at the end of last season after narrowly keeping the side in the division.
