Nottingham Forest, Coventry City, and Burnley are all plotting moves to sign Blues defender Kristian Pedersen in this January transfer window, according to Football Insider.

The Dane is keen to move on and with his contract running out this summer, Blues will want to cash in on the defender before letting him move out on a free transfer.

Pedersen has featured 19 times for Lee Bowyer’s side this season and has been a key figure in Blues’ back three.

Nottingham and Coventry are admirers of a back 3 system, and Pedersen would likely slot straight into their first teams. Burnley on the other hand face uncertainty around their current third-choice left-back Anthony Glennon.

Erik Pieters is also out of contract at Turf Moor at the end of the current campaign so a cheaper option in the form of Pedersen may prove to be good business for the Premier League side.
