Neil Etheridge (6) – Could do nothing about the goal which flew through a crowd of bodies.

Mark Roberts (7) – A solid performance at the heart of defence. Preston’s attack didn’t have much in the game and did his job effectively.

Teden Mengi (7) – Another composed performance from the league debutant. Kept it simple, winning his fair share of aerial duels.

Maxime Colin (5) – Did not have a massive impact on the game. Looked troubled at times but tried to power through the game.

Kristian Pedersen (5) – Similar to Colin. Remained on the periphery but didn’t gift Preston much headway down his side through any unforced errors.

Jeremie Bela (4) –Poor throughout. Quality was lacking. Couldn’t beat the first man on his deliveries.

Gary Gardner (5) – Running was there as there always is but the creativity and quality was again poor.

Ivan Sunjic (4) – Someone who needs to up his game pretty soon. Effort is there but the quality is lacking from what is needed from a central midfielder of his price.

Jordan James (7) – Stuck to it and was brave when others around him were not taking the game by the scruff of the neck. Battled impressively with Ben Whiteman which is saying a lot about his current progress.

Onel Hernandez (7) – A really energetic debut. Pace to get past players and looked like one of few who could make something happen.

Lukas Jutkiewicz (6) – The captain put in his usual selfless performance, winning aerial duels and battling for the ball. Nothing came for him in terms of useful service.

Ryan Woods (for Ivan Sunjic) – N/A

Scott Hogan (for Ivan Hernandez) – N/A

Jobe Bellingham (for Jeremie Bela) – N/A
