A dead rubber for Lee Bowyer’s men, but quality showed in their narrow lost at Nottingham Forest.

Scores on the doors from a quiet showing from the visitors.

Neil Etheridge (7) – The opening goal went through his legs but apart from that concession, he was untested. Injured later on.

Nico Gordon (6) – Could not deal with Keinan Davis and Brennan Johnson and found it difficult to assert himself on the forward line.

Maxime Colin (6) – Could not deal with the strength and pace of Keinan Davis. Remained occupied all afternoon.

Kristian Pedersen (7) – A decent outing, keeping Djed Spence at bay for large parts of the game, keeping his side of the pitch relatively clean.

Marc Roberts (7) – Was up against the experienced Lewis Grabban, who rarely tested the centre back. Kept busy though by the forward.

Taylor Richards (7.5) – Although Forest deployed 3 men in midfield, Richards was the engine today and made some promising runs, always looking to move forward. Great tracking back too.

Gary Gardner (6) – Conceded possession for the opening goal and in a match which was untidy in the middle of the park, he failed to take control of the centre.

Ivan Sunjic (6) – Kept quiet by the opposition’s midfield, with the difference in quality showing.

Onel Hernandez (6) – Ineffective for the most part. Brennan Johnson gave him a tough afternoon so was not able to have his moments to shine in attack.

Juninho Bacuna (6) – Like the rest of the midfield, he was not able to show his true self with the midfield becoming very congested.

Scott Hogan (6) – Could not do anything of note. The hosts successfully stifled him with their intense press.

Connall Trueman (for Neil Etheridge) (6) – Will be sleeping on the second goal he let in. A difficult appearance.

Jordan Graham (for Onel Hernandez) (6) – Created more than Onel Hernandez in the time he was on but it was not enough.
