Blues set to reignite their interest in English forward
Blues are expected to make a summer move for Bordeaux striker and Stoke loanee Josh Maja, according to a report from The Sunday People (print edition, April 24).
Blues were said to have made a transfer enquiry for the 23-year-old in the January transfer window, per GFFN.
Maja, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Fulham and Stoke City will be hoping he can gain more first team experience in the Championship.
Only scoring 9 goals for Bordeaux in 47 appearances, the Englishman has found it hard to get firing again since his move from Sunderland in 2019.
Scoring just once for Stoke and making three assists, Maja has only one year left on his contract which means a permanent move is likely to be on the cards this summer.
With the future of Nottingham Forest loanee Lyle Taylor up in the air it’s no surprise to see attention rise around Maja once again as the summer transfer window approaches.

It is a gamble and we do not seem to have much luck with gambles. We can all remember the gambles Karanka made with Cosgrove,Simmonds and Leko at a combined £4 million quid with longish contracts so l would suggest giving Andrews a shot and maybe get a free Transfer in.
Every signing is a gamble. You could sign a £100m player and he could pick up a serious injury in his first game. I think Maja fits the bill in young, quick and good with both feet. He is potentially another Che Adams and at that age he will have resale value which is the sort of player we are looking to bring in. I take the point with Leko and Cosgrove but this is where your Craig Gardner’s need to do their homework.
Well we need someone up that can score goal’s midfield we are fine Defence is better than last season a striker is need.
