Blues are keeping tabs on newly-promoted Forest Green’s defender Kane Wilson, according to Birmingham Live.
The 22-year-old has had an astonishing campaign for Rovers and was named League Two Player of The Season.
The former West Brom man played a big part in getting Forest Green into the third tier for the first time in their history.
Wilson has scored three goals and provided 14 assists in 43 appearances so far this season and it’s no wonder he’s catching the eye of many clubs.
One of those that will give Blues stiff competition for his signature is Nottingham Forest, who Bristol Live claim have been scouting the right-wing-back.
The former West Brom man would be a very good addition for Lee Bowyer as he has found it hard to find players who fit into his back five system with Maxime Colin, Jordan Graham and Onel Hernandez all having played in the role this season.
Dubbed the ‘new Cafu’ by pundit Clinton Morrison earlier this season, Wilson is out of contract in the summer so Forest Green may feel cashing in on their prized asset would be the better option.
This is the second defender Blues have been linked with in recent days, with Fulham’s Alfie Mawson hitting the headlines once again.
