It seems Bowyer will still be manager at St Andrews next season as Alan Nixon has exclusively revealed Bowyer has been told to carry on as normal following his talks with the Birmingham City board on Monday.

Also, via the official club website, it states:
“The Club will now work with Lee Bowyer to fulfil the position of Assistant Head Coach in time for pre-season of the upcoming campaign.”
Bowyer still has one year left on his contract and it would cost the current board £750,000 to pay him out of it, according to The Sun.
Lee has been very transparent about his situation at Blues and made it known false promises were made in terms of investment.
News circulated yesterday that former QPR boss Mark Warbuton is tipped to take the reigns and he’d be bringing his ‘trusted aide’ Frank McParland with him to St Andrews.

The lookout for a new assistant ensues but this news begs the question if the current board are waiting for a takeover to happen so they don’t have to pay Bowyer any compensation.

Crazy never a dull moment kro
Lea should be money to get players to get us to the top of championship
I think Bowyer needs to be supported financially and given until the end of October at least.
regardless of ownership changes , if 47 points (the same as his other full season with Charlton in the championship) does not tell us he isn’t a championship what does? If we keep him in charge we waste other season of not progressing or even worse more struggle. A fresh start with a competent manager next season would a step in the right direction. If new owners come in a statement of intent to get a manager like Daniel Farke before he goes to Blackburn would be good.
Until an announcement is made on the HKSE then the takeover is just paper talk. Most of us questioned any managerial changes by BSHL with the extra costs involved. Shouldn’t the new owners be making these decisions? As BCFC is the main business of BSHL if they sell us they lose their listing so unless they have another venture to fill that hole and keep their listing it is the end of them. The cynic in me thinks we are stuck with them. Unless of course the reports of Mr Kings serious money problems are true and he doesn’t care about the listing and wants to take the £35m and run.
We have massively underachieved this season when squads such as Blackpool, Preston, Luton, Millwall and Coventry which have cost very little are outperforming us. To those complaining our players are rubbish and need a clearout would you swap our team for say Blackpool’s or Millwall’s. The difference is better organisation and coaching. When Lee Bowyer came here at the end of last season he got us organised and playing to its strengths. For some reason he forgot that this season. Fans are saying he hasn’t been backed but he’s been allowed to bring in very good players on loan because BSHL are too skint to buy the players outright.
I don’t believe he played our players to their strengths and showed his limitations as a manager. However without or until a takeover Bowyer is staying put.
Johnny Johnson Bowyers assistant when he was at Charlton has been given the boot so wouldn’t be surprised if his name came up as new Assistant.
Yes you may be correct with that. Lee Bowyer wanted him at Blues originally. I’ve no idea if he’s any good but Charlton have also struggled.
The announcement of Bowyer situation says two things to me 1) The Board are not selling and we will just stumble on in the same fashion or 2) They are waiting for the sale of the Club and the new owners can sort the Manager problem out further down the line.,there can be no other explanation.
It does mean any number 2 brought in could be in a job for a short time as new owners would most likely want their own man.
