Blues first-team coach Paul Harsley is one of several candidates to takeover proceedings as Swindon Town manager.

The League Two outfit are looking to replace Ben Garner after he left for League One side Charlton Athletic.

TalkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has revealed he is one of ‘several’ young coaches the Robins are looking at.

The club provided an update on their search for a manager with a statement on their website, with Di Michele saying:

“We have identified a strong shortlist of candidates who fit the profile we are looking for. We have a clear philosophy for Swindon Town Football Club and it is vital that the successful candidate is fully aligned with this.”

If Harsley would to depart, it would leave Lee Bowyer with very few coaches beside him.

Blues have already lost Bowyer’s assistant manager Mark Kennedy who left the club after one season to take over at Lincoln City.
