Blues can kiss goodbye their chances of signing goalkeeper Matija Sarkic this season.

The Athletic revealed that the 24-year-old, who spent the first half on loan at St Andrews, is to be the second-choice stopper at Wolves moving forward.

Sarkic kept ten clean sheets in 23 appearances for Blues before sustaining an injury that saw his time come to an end at the club.

Despite that, Sarkic still won the supporters Player of the Year at St. Andrew’s, highlighting just how much of an impact he made.

However, Wolves look to be keeping him on their books as backup to Jose Sa following John Ruddy’s departure.

This news will be hugely frustrating for Blues fans as Sarkic seemed to really enjoy his time at the club.

Blues must now work their magic in the transfer window in order to bring in a keeper that can give Neil Etheridge competition for the Number 1 spot.
