Blues to battle it out with Rangers for Jack Butland loan move
Blues have made a shock loan move for Premier League goalkeeper Jack Butland as Lee Bowyer looks to bolster his side before the new campaign.
According to reporter Alan Nixon, Blues are battling it out with Rangers to bring the 29-year-old back to St Andrews on a season-long loan.

Blues had been hoping to bring Wolves stopper Matija Sarkic back to the club however with John Ruddy leaving Molineux, his future has been cemented there for now.
Butland started his professional career at Birmingham and his form earned him a move to high-flying Stoke City at the time.
Currently at Palace, Butland spent most of the campaign in the shadow of first-choice keeper Vincente Guaita and could well drop down the pecking order even further if a move for Sam Johnston materialises.
Rangers and Bournemouth are said to be monitoring Butland, however, neither club have made an official move for him.
Also, it’s not certain the former England international will receive regular game time so a move to Blues may be the most attractive.

Not a chance, why on earth would he come to Blues with the wages we would offer, paper talk again, forget it.
