Birmingham City Women have announced the departure of three senior players.
Emily Whelan, Lucy Whipp, and Sarah Ewens are all leaving the club at the end of their contracts, as per FAWSL Full-Time.
All three players featured in the side which failed to survive in the Barclays Women’s Super League this season.
UPDATE: The club have also confirmed centre-back Cecilie Sandvej will also be moving on.

Republic of Ireland international Emily Whelan made 19 league appearances for Darren Carter’s side while Whipp and Ewens both racked up only 11 appearances.
Since relegation to the Barclays Women’s Championship, the total tally of BCFC Women players that have exited the club is now six.
Blues announced last month that goalkeeper Marie Hourihan was being released while loanee Lisa Robertson returned to parent club Celtic.
The club also wanted to keep Greek international attacker Veatriki Sarri, however, she refused to extend her deal with the club.
Birmingham City Women will play in the second tier for the first time after the club was foundeing members of the old FA Women’s Super League back in 2011.
