Woods, who has been a regular starter so far this season under John Eustace, has made 32 appearances for Blues since joining back in 2021.
This news will be a bit of a shock to the St Andrews faithful as they will wonder who will start in place of him today against Cardiff with new signing Krystian Bielik ‘weeks away’ from full fitness.
Also, Woods did come out yesterday speaking very highly of the Blues boss:

The only confirmation Blues fans will need is if he’ll be in the starting lineup or not come 11:30am this morning.

If this is true, we must have someone in mind or are talking to a certain club. I wonder what the fee is and will the funds be put towards a better player. Little strange.
I’ve said after both games that I thought Woods and Roberts were poor in each game. I was hoping when fit Bielik wood replace Woods so if he goes then it’s no great loss.
I don’t understand we are constantly told we are short on numbers. Plus Woods was supposed to be one of our better players. So what is going on.
Agree with Tony, technically Woods is not to bad but he lacks pace and gets caught on the ball too much,Bielik is a far better player and will no doubt slot into midfield. All in all not disappointed he is going.
Woods and Honeyman will come back and pass their way through our midfield. Gutted, good player and nice lad.
No great loss it’s got no pace My tortoise is faster
Young talent proving good enough…move the dead wood on lol
