A bore draw at St Andrew’s as Aiwu concerns grow and Laird suffers another setback.

Ratings against Rotherham:

John Ruddy (5) – His distribution put his team under pressure and wasn’t able to command his box.

Ethan Laird (6) – Another injury and more worries for the right back personally. Was lively before his withdrawal.

Emanuel Aiwu (4) – Another concerning performance. Too eager, lacked concentration and his passing and decisions forced his defence to do unnecessary work.

Dion Sanderson (5) – Aiwu made him do quite a bit of work but it was certainly not a solid performance by his own standards.

Lee Buchanan (6) – No troubles defensively and tried to do his bit in attack.

Krystian Bielik (5) – Not enough impact from the Pole and wasn’t able to dictate the tempo of the game.

Juninho Bacuna (4) – Poor with the ball and frustratingly didn’t prove to be a threat. Lacked any sort of desire in possession.

Oliver Burke (4) – His out of possession work was fine but not enough guile or threat for the position he is playing in.

Koji Miyoshi (6) – Some good link up play with those around him and worked himself into decent areas.

Siriki Dembele (6) – Carried the most threat on the pitch on the left flank. Has improved recently.

Jay Stansfield (5) – Didn’t have the service to truly impact the game. Felt his teammates could’ve got closer to him.

Lukas Jutkiewicz (for Oliver Burke) (5) – Could’ve done better on another day with the chances presented to him.

Cody Drameh (for Ethan Laird) (5) – Fine at the back but didn’t carry the threat on the right compared to Buchanan on the other side.

Jordan James (for Juninho Bacuna) (6) – Some good incisive passing and delivered the quickness in thinking required in this set up.
