Ratings from The Hawthorns as new signings take to the pitch but mainstay endures horrible afternoon as former Villa man nets late.

Neil Etheridge (6) – Barely had anything to do. Couldn’t do much with Weimann’s late winner.

Ethan Laird (7) – Good in both boxes and even kept the threatening Fellows at bay when moved to the other side.

Kevin Long (7) – Some solid box defending and stood his ground with Thomas-Asante and his bursts.

Krystian Bielik (7) – Like Long but with more varied passes from the back.

Lee Buchanan (4) – Struggled against Fellows. Couldn’t match his inroads and didn’t know how to nullify him.

Andre Dozzell (6) – Always looked to progress the ball but his defensive actions were less desirable.

Ivan Sunjic (5) – As usual bundles if energy but just doesn’t possess the on the ball qualities needed.

Koji Miyoshi (5) – A flash of magic here and there but nothing to hurt the opposition.

Alex Pritchard (5) – Some good runs with the ball and his off the ball movement was good to free himself but his debut lasted 45 minutes.

Siriki Dembele (5) – Dangerous with the ball but couldn’t provide the quality in the final third.

Jay Stansfield (5) – Ran his socks but to no avail.

Jordan James (for Alex Pritchard) (6) – Some excellent passes to try and open the opposition up.

Juninho Bacuna (for Lee Buchanan) (5) – Not much impact offensively.

Paik Seung-ho (for Koji Miyoshi) (6) – Some decent quality on the ball and played in multiple positions.

Keshi Anderson (for Ivan Sunjic) (5) – Caused some nuisance in the time he was on.
